but mostly on the boards and some on defense. Mostly because it will keep HK off the floor. hopefully. Our offense and lineups need changes and soon.

IMO, JJ is struggling primarily for a couple of reasons. He is primarily playing point and he is better offensively when he plays the 2. He is having to force up bad shots, which is not his strength, as the clock runs out because our offense is sluggish and use up to much time creating a good look. I believe Turtle needs to get a lot more time at the point. It will free up JJ and I know Turtle can score the ball as well. However, he is not even looking to score. He drove into the paint last night and tried to pass off instead of taking the short jumper. It is evident to me Fox has him in robotic mode. Wilridge gets seven minutes last night? The kid could get us double digits any game if he gets the minutes he needs to get comfortable. Our best looks now are coming off offensive boards and broken plays, which indicates we need to open up our game. Go smaller, get the ball out and up the floor. About half the time we are close to a violation getting across halfcourt. Maten is showing he has an all-around game and will be a handful one on one if we get him the ball early off a controlled break before the D can double. If he is doubled he is a good passer and can find an open shooter. Opening the floor will help CM as well as he is struggling to find any room to work out of what we are doing.

Of course these things depend on CMF being flexible and seeing that what we are doing is not working nearly as well as it could be. Refusing to change defense when needed, keeping Turtle and Wilridge on the bench and probably restricting them in certain ways does not bode well.

I had high hopes for this year because of our veteran backcourt and talented frosh, but it appears we will not take advantage of what we have with what we do. I'm discouraged, but still hopeful. Getting OG back will help a lot and KPG is finding out how to play and help.
