It won't show up in the box score, but Ogbeide simply demoralized Jacobs from tech in the post. Jacobs couldn't even hold a spot on the block to post up.

Late in the second half, Jacobs got frustrated when he had Yante posted up and didn't get the ball. I think that was a result of DO shutting him down before that.

In addition, there was one time in the first half when DO "insisted" on having the ball after the whistle blew. Total enforcer-type move that put a spark in the crowd.

He, like Turtle and JJ before them, don't seem to play timid, intimidated ball as freshman. DO was lost a time or two on offense, but compensated for that by finding someone to screen or crashing the boards- such a better response than freezing and looking lost, as many of our previous freshman have.

In addition, Kessler, Maten,Edwards, and Ogbeide combined on some nice interior passing on different occasions. And say what you want about Iduwe, but I have no problem with a 6-10 sophomore who knows his role and has 5 fouls to give.

I hope that DO will be a big help as conference play begins. With our style of play, we might have just enough big bodies to grind out a bunch of ugly wins. That seems to be the plan.
