I'm from Gville and frankly I'm glad the young man made the choice he did. There is no freaking way he would be playing for a Natty and been a Heisman finalist if he played for CMR. It's pretty obvious he made the right choice although it really wasn't a choice. Clemson's got on him way early and developed a person relationship with him and his family. He might have wanted to go to.UGA in the 6th grade bit he was a solid unwavering commit all through high school.
I'm from Gainesville too, and it infuriates me to see how the Dawgs didn't get hard after Watson, Sims, Jones and AJ.

They wanted Watson as an athlete or defensive back, was not a drop back passer, It's like their brains could not comprehend that you build on the talents of the player and not the coach...remember CMR redshirted N.Moreno even though he was way above every body else ...a great person, below avg coach... .. I'd take r.probst from colquitt county over cmr..
Easy now. Probst has never coached a down in college and he is a public relations disaster waiting to happen. I'm not concerned with our coach being a choir boy, but I damn sure expect him to be a better man than Probst or Petrino.

No coach in SEC history has a better record in developing QBs than Richt.
Records go back to 1956. Richt has coached both the #1 and #2 QBs in those 60 years, that is GD impressive. Also name another coach who has landed the top QB in the country twice in 15 years.
We could have played for a Natty in 2002 and again in 2007 with a bit of luck. We were a play away from playing for it in 2012, and I think We would have won it.
I'm ready to move forward though. I think Kirby might be the guy to take Us that final step.

And, he consistently got blown out 2-3 games a year; refused to fix the special team problems, etc. Just watch, he will not do $hit at Miami but pocket a few $M before retirement.

Don't let facts stop UGA fans crying about a kid who was NEVER coming to Georgia for lot's of reasons. Dual threat QB's are never high priorities for teams running a pro style offense. Those crying should forget Watson for one minute and applaud CMR for "gift wrapping" Eason (#1 rated Pro Style QB) to Kirby and the DAWGS. Oh well, it's always about "the one that got away" whether a QB or old girl friend.
