Hey guys.
Just real quick on Malek Young.
He's a guy that kinda stays under the radar in the offseason. He plays very few 7 on 7 tournaments and attends few camps. I've had the chance to see him at two of the three events in which he has participated, though.
Young is the kind of guy that, despite his limited height, takes chances on jamming wide receivers at the line and did so often during one-on-ones at rivals camp. Sometimes he's successful, sometimes he pays for it. He's also develop a reputation as a big hitter. He's developing a certain thickness and is relatively strong for a guy of his stature. He is certainly fast enough to play the position in the SEC. Of that, I have no doubt. He needs to add some muscle (not a ton, but some) and will probably only get better as college-level coaching reigns him and reached him not to take so many gambles on jumping routes and whatnot. The kid can cover. That's never been in question and he's rarely beaten deep.
I'm excited to see him in games this season as it's so hard to get a gauge on the totality of his game through limited camp work and highlight film.
