Then, notice JSW's take-off (on the pass he didn't haul in). Seemed like a longer take-off due to wasted steps.
Now I'm sure it's just to shake off the defender, but when I played baseball and was being taught the mechanics of stealing bases, I was taught on my initial step to not cross over, it's wasted movement.
That's very similar in route-running and Godwin looks very good and smooth.
