Which is more important to a country?
Equal opportunity, not results.
Yes, that’s easy from a conservative point of view. Opportunity all day long
I read somewhere that the focus of MLK was on having an equal opportunity to work for good results but that the focus of BLM and similar organizations is achieving good results without needing the opportunity to work for them.
You make your own luck, imo.
luck is the intersection of preparation and opportunity
There is no way to make everyone equally rich, but its easy to make everyone equally poor.
Inequality is the goal.
Payback for centuries ago.
You can only legislate opportunity. You can't obtain equality through government. In fact, all past attempts to legislate equality, such as the social programs of the 60's, have only produced more inequality and dependence.
So you put money into accessible education, provide incentives that support families and small business, which is the largest creator of jobs, and build on the lessons learned from our past so that we don't repeat them.
