... cotton polo shirts of the not too distant past? When I try on the new wicking, wick, or actually wicked fitting 'modern' polos and tees of today my ancient mind immediately rockets back in time to a similar fit.... banlon. Banlon was like always having a wet shirt that you couldn't get away from and got pulls in it if you even looked a something snaggable. The new wicking polos and tee shirts... snag on everything, just like banlon.
If I don't have an athletic body why do I need an athletic fit? And if I like the way the cotton polos absorbed a little moisture, why do I need a shirt that wicks moisture away from the bod? And while talking about wicking... exactly where does the moisture get wicked to? Down the shirt and onto my arm? Down my back and into my netherworld?
I sure miss UGA polos, tees too, that were readily available in brands like Cutter & Buck 100% cotton with choices of a UGA logo on them. Yeah, I know, I can still get one if I don't shop for UGA apparel at Kohl's or any other fast to market department store, but hey, it's Saturday and I'm missing the past.
