OUCH!….

My guess it is going to continue to be in red until we get some major trade deals signed - Japan, Korea, EU and related.
those deals need to start rolling in. Calling Powell a loser is not the most calming thing for US markets either. I don't mind the criticism, but there is a better way to do it. I don't mind the general trade policy / negotiating tactic, but the rollout was unnecessarily chaotic....and it risks the capital markets' slide translating to something more permanent.

Get deals done. Tactically, we need some good news DJT.

I hope deals are really getting done. The President said a couple of weeks ago "everyone" was calling him begging to make a deal. Have not heard anyone else say that.
Something needs to get done very soon......like now.

Pretty sure he is meeting with some CEO’s & business leaders today. Possibly may see a jump similar to Apple the next day or so.

Quoted from Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises.

The phrase "Isn't it pretty to think so?" can be seen as a commentary on the human tendency to embrace comforting delusions or fantasies in the face of harsh realities. It suggests that people often find solace in idealized beliefs, even if those beliefs are far from reality.

Today DJT posted a flurry of lies about inflation and then deflected all of the blame for the markets on Powell. That put the market into a plunge. He is running the economy into the sewer at warp speed.
He wakes up Easter Sunday and instead of Happy Easter, he starts bashing his political opponents, you'd think you could let that go for Easter and Christmas (he trashes people on that day too) but noooo. While next day he calls out Powell publicly and market drops like a rock. Meanwhile folks voted for him to lower grocery prices (imo Presidents don't control) are still up n going up. He told them Day 1 we lower prices, that's BS lie

Democrats should be making hay off Trumps economic woes at this point, but it is not happening. Today CNN came out saying the public is not buying the Democrats narrative (link below) . Also, just as the favorability rating of the Democratic Party makes it to the upper 20% they announce that Corey Booker and AOC are their leading candidates for President and all the gains went away.
CNN-Democrats not getting narrative across to public

Dem's wont have to lift a finger. The ghost of Jack Kemp will soon be awakening from the heretofore feckless fiscally conservative wing of the former great Republican party.
