1. Shouldn’t have gone far it on 4th and 4 in 1st quarter, sending wrong message to our kicker. We are going to need him in an SEC game this season so he needs to get multiple chances with little risk in these type games.
2. Normally when you’re up big against an explosive team you use your time outs after 2nd down. You fool them into going conservative on 2 plays and then get them in a 3rd down situation before taking a time out. Yea, I thought our defense would hold them regardless but play it by the book, don’t have them going aggressive on 2nd down and your in your run stop defense.
3. Did we really run a DL in there late and have 12 men on the field? That was really a head scratcher. We don’t make those type mistakes.
Slightly questionable was not keeping in an extra blocker or two on 3rd and long earlier in the game resulting in a sack. Send 3 out , block with 7 and give Beck some time. We sent 5 out and Beck was sacked. It happens but didn’t like the strategy at all.
