Our Coaching Is Horrific!

And who recruited what we have and is responsible for coaching it up?
Obviously the QB didn't pan out this year. That is a weak argument though, considering UGA has recruited pretty well the past couple years. But technically you could blame anything on the coach since the buck really stops there. I just think the issues this year are completely addressable issues next year or maybe even this year with improved QB play.

The QB brought in this year didn't pan out, the one who was a high level recruit who we thought would pan out but didn't and lead to this...hasn't panned out...really, the qb last year didn't pan out, nor the third string qb who is on scholarship now didn't pan out. We haven't had a qb pan out since murray, and if you think about it, it took 2.5 years for him to pan out. We are a garbage fire this year. Our D has looked really good twice...against 2 offenses that suck. Our offense has looked really good once...against a D that sucked. Our special teams...well they haven't looked good. This isn't something that was inherited, this is after 14 years of program "building." We have at least one absolute blowout now each year, we don't compete against the top level programs in our conference, and we usually have a head scratching loss as well. GT will hang with us, not sure they will win, but they will hang...and the UF game looks to be something god awful in the making.

Disagree. Lack of talent on the offensive side of the ball, particularly at the QB position is our biggest issue.

You think Lambert has less talent than Mason ? I'd have to disagree with you on that. Talent and consistency are different, consistency is usually about coaching, but not always.

Worst I've seen in years
The schedule is going to save this team. And Richt knows it. Only one team left has a legit chance to win. Auburn is horrible, Tech is worse. UK lost to Auburn. As terrible as this team has looked it is headed to 10-2 and Atlanta or 9-3.

The SEC needs to drop this east-west thing. Right now this is how I would seed the teams:

(1) LSU

(2) Bama

(3) Tx A+M

(4) UF

(5) UGA

(6) Ole Miss

(7) UT

(8) Arky

(9) MSU

(10) Mizzou

(11) AU.

(12) UK

(13) USC

(14) Vandy

We've got 4/11/12 left on the sched.

5-2 ain't horrific imo

We have lost to every team that we have played that was decent or better, we struggled against Mizzou greatly on offense. But yes-5-2 ain't horrific unless all you do is beat teams that suck...oh wait, that's what we've done.

Would not say the schedule will say the schedule will save us either...we still haven't seen our absolute head scratcher yet. Could be UK, could be GT...hell, could be AU.

Horrific would be 2-5

Murray didn't pan out. No SEC championship you guys crack me up. What does pan out mean? The only thing that matters is an SEC championship every now and then.

Horrific would be 2-5

2-5, given our schedule so far, would be epic and biblical failure. UGA has the resources and money, along with recruiting base, where anything shy of 9 wins should be considered at least bad, if not worse (taking in schedule as well.) Really comes down to what you want. Do you want a consistently good team, or a team that can capture greatness or is at least in the position to capture greatness on a regular basis.

Helps if you actually address what i said instead of trying to square it with your comment. I said Murray didn't pan out for 2.5 years. Pre-Florida his junior year, he didn't perform well in big games, the comeback kid we saw after that wasn't to be seen, he usually made very poor decisions pre that game. And, competing for an SEC championship every "now and then?" Tells me the difference between what LSU, AL, AU, UF and hell, UT fans demand of their program. They might not get there at times, sometimes even stretches, but that is what they demand they attempt to do. Good to know we only care if we do it every now and then.

I'm not so sure that I understand epic v. Horrific

I'm sure you'll still hope we lose more.
So Richt ''knows it'' as if he's plotting to fool us into thinking he's doing better than he is, that's plain silly.
I damn sure hope we win out, but Richt doesn't know whether we will anymore than I do.
