I re-watched this the other day. It's amazing how soft our program was back then. We were a finesse football team. We had athletes and "dudes". But not much toughness.
You know what else we had? We had Kirby Smart sitting upstairs in the coach's box right next to Kevin Ramsey. They kept flashing up camera shots of Ramsey, and Kirby was right next to him talking to him. What a way to start a coaching career. It hit me that Kirby was likely up in the coach's box for the Auburn massacre, too. He had to have learned alot that year about how not to run a defense.
Now, as for the game, we won. It was a great comeback. And by the fourth quarter, you can sense the belief they had. So, I gave them credit for not quitting. I also want to thank Purdue's FG kicker, who basically single-handedly lost the game for Purdue.
