I’ve known former UGA DLine Coach Jon Fabris for a long while now and have heard some amazing stories from him. The story of Jennings’ recruitment is one I very much remember.
Coach had been telling Richt for months about the kid and that he could play in the SEC. Was built different on the inside despite his size. Jennings was going to go somewhere like South Carolina State because it was his only true offer. Then the day before signing day someone de-committed and the Dawgs had one open spot. Long meeting about who they were going to try and take and finally Richt gave in and told Coach Fab they’d take his guy.
