I'll be rooting just as hard as anyone today for the dawgs today but looking ahead to the tourney. If we win today, it takes a lot out of us and then we have to get up again tomorrow and grind it out against UK. Not great for a team already hobbling all over with injuries.
Moreover, no one remembers how far you go In the conference tourney unless you win it playing 2 games in a day because a tornado hit the day before.
Finally, a win today locks us into a 8/9 seed. IMO, I'd rather take my chances as a 10 beating the 7 then the 2 to make it to the second weekend. Don't know the percentages, but I'm almost positive the 7/10 winner is more likely to make it to sweet 16 than an 8/9 winner.
