Please let this happen

It would be the end of the democratic party so I'm for it. But it's a terrible idea for the welfare of those who live in California.

Is it a terrible idea for California? They’re one of the states that gives more in taxes to the Feds than they receive back. It’s bad for the country fiscally. It’s also not going to happen of course.

I read some rich guy had already collected 600,000 signatures to split it into 3 states, and it would be on the November ballot. States of Northern California, California, and Southern California. This is of course different from secession as discussed in Rumph's Fox article.

The state makes a huge portion of its money from its ports and government contracts to private industry in the state. If they seceded, I would hope the feds would divert that money to more loyal states. Be great to see them unloading shiploads of rubber dog turds and begging gun manufacturers to relocate there.

Watch the video. The guy admits they want to export the middle class to the rest of the Unites States to make way for illegals. So they want an economy where there are rich and poor with no middle class. What sort of economy does that sound like? California may have a large economy, but they also are the most mismanaged state in the Union. If this happens, their economy will shrink as the middle class leaves and poverty increases. As such, California will be bankrupt in a manner of a few years from all the socialist policy they will put in place. And they'll prove once again that socialism does not work.

And everyone in California will suffer from it except the super rich.

That would be awesome, It would split their electoral votes and give the right a huge advantage in elections, basically adding 2 states to the red column.

I think the issues they cause will offset the 1 penny we get from them. Just think, each illegal costs us $15,500. Send them all to cali and we are home free without them.. Only thing, we will have to build a wall to keep them liberal scums out.
I would happily pay higher taxes just for their having no say in my government. I actually believe we would come out way, way ahead financially if they would leave. I think the fact they pay more in than they take out is smoke and mirrors. Their money comes in large part from federal expenditure in the state, which is not counted as a transfer TO the state, and a large portion of which comes back to the Treasury in the forms of payroll and corporate taxes, which IS counted.

Regardless, who cares how much it might cost?
