stubhub 50 yrd line seats were cheap, so sat in sec 330, row 45 home side... Interesting observation-usually on tv, I dont pay attention to substitutions, whose going in, whose coming out etc.
Late in the game when we were preparing to punt, I saw Malcom Mitchell seemingly get turned around as he heading for the bench on yet another 3 and out....almost looking like "dammit Mitchell, get your a@@ back out there......he looked very late getting set, and looked very gassed, almost like he was in motion when the ball was snapped.....I was furious, thinking they were gonna grind him down to nothing...but I watched him go down fieldthe whole way...it was almost like he committed to wreck the return guy whether he drew a flag or not...in essence he willed himself downfield, almost begrudgingly, as if to say...dammit, I'm shot out tired, but if I dont do it,,,nobody else is gonna make anything happen...and that is what he did...he may may time it perfectly, but it seemed to me he hit him as quick as he could get there, ball coming or not...that one play moved him solidly from my top 10 all-time favorite dawg to top five...and as Billboard Mag would say, with a bullet...and I wont give my age, but among those on it I saw in person are Butch Box, Gliding Glen Harrison, and Ben Zambeze....lofty company..
