Most encouraging thing to me is starting to see some roles come together in the back of that bullpen. They’re also building some reliable RHP depth which is huge.
I think Polk might end up the closer. He was in serious competition for that in the fall before he got dinged up. Pearson has been such a pleasant surprise. I thought he’d be effective against RH hitters and possibly play that match up role, but he’s proven he can do that also be relied upon to pump strikes and get anyone out.
Moody is another big key.
Defense is the other thing. We are doing great in that area right now and this is the formula we’ve won with the past few years.
