Mentioned this a few times before in regards to UGA's post-season hopes, but teams that don't win their conference tournaments but win their regular season title automatically get a spot in the NIT if they don't get an at-large bid to NCAA. Of the 11 conference tournaments that have already been finished, Chattanooga is the only top seed to win their conference tournament too, which means 10 of the 32 spots could already been taken for the NIT. St. Mary's, Monmouth and Valpo all have a shot at the NCAA as at-large teams.
I say all this to say UGA really needs to do some serious damage this week to have any shot at the NCAA. They should be safe for the NIT, but even that could get a little tricky if they lose Thursday depending on how these other conference tournaments play out.
