The defense has been on fire this year. It wasn't tonight. Way to many easy baskets given up tonight. I'm not sure what our problem was, but they got way to many easy lay ups and dunks tonight. Offensively, we put up some great numbers.

1st Half:
Jabri just methodically went off. In the 1st half alone, he scored 21 points, had 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. He continued to kill them at the free throw line going 10 for 10. Play of the 1st half was Jalen Deloach found Jabri on a back cut for an and 1 lay up. Noah had 7 and Blue had 5. No one else had more than 2 points.

2nd half:
Noah continued his consistent performance for the game, finishing with 17 points. Melendez started killing them on cuts and drives and free throws, and finished with 18 points, 6 boards, and 4 assists. He plays extremely hard and aggressive.

Stats of the night:
Free throw assault: Jabri (10 for 10) and Melendez (7 for 7). Just cashing in and making them pay.
Hill's assists: Justin Hill hadn't had more than 4 assists in any game this year. He had 8 tonight. Impressive and we need those assists numbers going forward.
Mount St. Mary's Field Goal% - They shot 56% against us. They didn't hurt us much from three but they were very effective inside the arc and at the free throw line. Going to have to go back and watch to try and figure out what was killing us on defense. Our rotations were clearly bad.
Hill's free throws: Hill was 2 for 6 from the foul line tonight. That makes him 22 of 38 on the year (58%). Have no clue what's up. He has shot 80% the previous two years. His misses appear close. Often rattling in and out.

Overall thoughts:
The offense just appeared clunky for the first 30 minutes of the game. We were scoring but there wasn't a whole lot of movement or spacing. The last 10 minutes of the game, Melendez was able to get us some flow with back cuts. We do more improvising than plays on offense and that can lead to spells of not knowing where or how or who is going to be doing the shooting.

The final five minutes is always interesting with White. It appears the constants down the stretch are Hill and Demary. After that, its anybodies guess. Tonight he rode with Deloach, Thomasson, and Melendez. We will see if his strategy changes and he develops a closing five or if its just who he feels good about that night.

Good to get the W. Tonight's game never really felt in doubt, but it also felt like we could lose it if we got stupid. We didn't get stupid. Good to keep the winning train movin'! Lets get another W Friday. Go Dawgs!!
