My only problem with UGA's class is the lack of OL. It is true and good that Smart has acknowledged it. But honestly, you have to wonder whether Smart's dividing time between UGA and Alabama for most of the recruiting season hindered him from identifying and getting a few more 3 star OL, including DLs who have the ability to move to the other side of the ball. (Georgia Tech, for example, signed a strong-side DE from Louisiana with the intentions of turning him into an OT. ) UGA isn't Alabama, LSU or Florida. They aren't going to be able to get 4 or 5 big time prospects for the OL every year. At UGA you can sign the highly recruited guys to start just like every other top SEC program, but building depth is going take signing developmental prospects and coaching them up, as well as going after the occasional JUCO. It is something that Richt never realized (or wanted to). Donnan was better, but largely because he was so great at recruiting DLs and would switch the guys who didn't make the DL rotation to OL.
