I am on a mission to make sure people know how bad ESPN's customer service is. Sorry for the length but I know many of you had problems too:

So I tried to watch the game on line yesterday. Paid for the service…tried to link up…had problem after problem, so couldn't watch it. I emailed ESPN asking for my money back and this was their reply:

Greetings
"As per the terms and conditions of the service ESPN Player does not issue refunds for the digital subscription service. We have thoroughly tested all streams that were delivered for NCAA Football, and all content was delivered to the platform as expected in high quality. Local issues (such as computer, internet connection etc) can contribute towards issues with viewing and ESPN Player cannot be accountable for this. I am sorry you are not satisfied with your viewing experience on ESPN Player, but, as previously mentioned, the Terms and Conditions and FAQ of the site do outline that refunds will not be issued.

Here was my reply back:

There were 2 issues:

1) It did not list access to SEC Network, or the Georgia Spring Game anywhere on the site. I plugged all sorts of combinations into the search bar, and none of them worked. It showed the Florida State game, but not Georgia. The only way I could find the game was come out of the site and go directly to the SEC Network. Then it backdoored me into the site/game.

2) Once I got there, it gave me an error code…321 maybe…some number like that. Nothing else. Just an error code. It did not make suggestions, provide links for support, encourage different actions, etc. I tried it on my computer, my Ipad, my wife's Ipad…and none worked and all got the same error. I searched the web for help on this and everything was non-specific. No guidance. By this time the game was late into the first quarter and it wasn't worth it.

So…you advertise all these great things, then make it virtually impossible to find products, or use them…then you quote some clause in your fine print. I read hundreds of comments in blogs from people having the same problem, with universal acclaim about how poor your product was. And for 8.99…you are just going to throw this all back on me saying it is my fault?

This is your customer service? I paid for a product that couldn't be and wasn't used…and it wasn't because I didn't try. I have no idea how many billions your company generates a year…so I'm betting for $8.99 is fairly insignificant. But there would be a chance for me to be a long term customer and give you more money if you treated me well.

Now, I have no intention of ever doing business with you, and intend on telling everyone I deal with exactly how bad you are and how little you care about your customers.

All for $8.99.

I had a very similar experience. I have always been able to

view the games on my computer, but yesterday it told me I was an unauthorized user. AT&T my service provider blamed COX cable. Cox blamed ESPN.

Circle jerk, IMO

I hope they all burn in hell.[/B]
