I hate starting true freshman QBs.
Here's hoping Ramsey or Lambert is ready to fill the gap in early 2016.
- 2001. David Greene started as a R-Fr and we didn't win the SEC. I still remember a brutal loss in the Music City to finish 8-4.
- 2006. Matthew Stafford did start periodically as a true freshman and we had shall we say mixed results (Joe Cox saved his butt against Ole Miss and did not become THE starter until game 8 (MSU) and even then the season was at best a "growth" year. We finished strong with wins in our last 3 games, including a win over VT in the CFA Bowl, to finish 9-4.
- 2010. Aaron Murray didn't start until his R-Fr year and we started 1-4 and finished 6-7.
