I am completely ignorant in this topic but do schools(Us) have the ability to contact the SEC and its officiating leadership and have the ability to have a more formal conversation around making sure that a situation like what happened in Austin doesn’t happen again? I know that bad calls happen and there is always subjectivity by refs during games, not talking about that. But the total debacle that occurred that we all know what happened. Or is this something that is only allowed to happen by Coach Smart on the field before the game where he has to try to pull the refs aside and speak to them about making sure no shenanigans happen again? I mean, I am assuming that all coaches have a few moments with the refs and lobby for certain things, but just wondering if anyone knows more about how these things happen.
