Greetings from Fort Lauderdale (3 Sons Brewing specifically....highly recommended)

We just wrapped up Under Armour camp a bit ago, and as you might imagine, we didn't get to see a lot up close and personal given the distancing requirements.

We did get to speak to several guys, though.

In speaking to Stewart, I got the sense that Georgia is a major player. Coaches recently had him on a Zoom tour, where he got to see his fit within the scheme and meet the coaching staff. He spoke quite favorably of how he sees himself fitting into the scheme and said he plans to see Georgia as soon as visits resume. Word down this way is that he's looking like he'll leave the state. Alabama and LSU are two big considerations as well. He's a reserved guy, so he didn't give up too much when we spoke, but he says he plans to take his recruitment all the way until National Signing Day in February. Look for the Bulldogs to continue to be a major factor here.

This was an offer straight from Kirby Smart, who shared how impressed he was with Tolan's aggressive play, which made the young outside linebacker feel priority status from the Bulldogs. Georgia has a unique edge here in that his head coach is former Georgia defensive back Marc Deas, who did not hold back on feelings about Tolan adding the offer. He straight up told the young man he needs to be a Bulldogs, and Tolan expects that Deas will try and tag along when a visit is able to occur to Athens. Tolan says the Bulldogs have a "big chance" with him.

2023 commit Pearce Spurlin is working this one exceptionally hard on Georgia's behalf, as he plays 7v7 with Donaldson. Donaldson's father is from south Georgia and actually played ball against Kirby in high school, so there is some familiarity with the staff there. Donaldson says he's also familiar with Smart's hard nosed coaching style and noted that's something he's seeking at the next level. Glenn Schumann came through with this offer, but the Bulldogs are telling Donaldson he's a possibility across the defensive backfield in their scheme. Look for him to get to Athens and take visits before making a decision. Don't be surprised if Spurlin is along for the trip, as he's sold the family aspect heavily.

It seems that schools such as West Virginia and Syracuse are among those showing the most love to Spells right now, but he's already earned a Georgia offer and looks like a guy who can boost his stock moving into this season. A two-way player, he likely slots to cornerback for the Bulldogs, and he's got ample speed to handle the spot, posting a 4.5 40-yard dash today. He's open to the possibility of leaving the state of Florida and has worked with and followed the careers of former American Heritage stars turned Bulldogs. His is a name to keep on the radar moving forward.

LeBlanc maintains that Georgia was his dream offer, and he's gotten close to most of the staff thus far. He's looking to visit once he's got the opportunity, likely starting north and working his way back down toward home. He definitely looks the part and holds offers from across the nation. Will be interesting to see how this one develops moving forward and once visits are able to resume. LeBlanc mentioned Alabama, among others, as a consistent force.

Wasn't hard to spot Spurlin after camp, as he was sporting a Georgia shirt. He says his closet is dotted with red and black gear, so he's trying to represent on a regular basis. Spurlin says he's looking forward to seeing Georgia throw it around more this year, something he believes Todd Monken has firmly in the works given their conversations. He's recruiting the aforementioned Donaldson, but in his cycle, he's focused on reeling in the likes of Treyaun Webb, Justice Haynes, and Justin Benton, three guys he noted he's already close with. Spurlin is largely contacting Hartley and Smart when he reaches out, and the family connection seems to be more pronounced after each call. He says he's hoping to play at 225 but is unsure if that'll land him as a tight end or wideout at the next level. He's comfortable with both and clearly takes pride in his ability to flex out. Look for him to continue to be a leader in his cycle.

A possible five-star in the 2023 cycle, Inniss certainly looked the part today, flashing great hands and running clean routes whenever his number was called. Right now, he seems to be focused a bit elsewhere, noting Alabama and Oklahoma, but he's hopeful to visit with Georgia and has been in contact with the staff a handful of times already, including with Kirby Smart. Inniss hasn't written the Bulldogs off, but he says he'd really like to see them spread the ball around more in the passing game. That could really up the stock if it happens.

Williams holds Georgia in high regard, naming them among three major players for his services early on and noting that he foresees the Bulldogs making the cut on his list when the time comes. He's definitely open to playing outside of the Sunshine State right now, saying he hopes to see something different in college. He's collected a number of big offers to this point, but Georgia looks to be among the big players for him moving forward.

I didn't speak to Armella, but Chad did. He is firmly focused on his top schools and does not have Georgia among those options.
