- The next four games are winnable but none are cupcakes, then we play the top three teams in the league consecutively. I think we need to go 5-2 in that span, and that's no small task. But why can't we beat UF at home or USC on the road if we play well?
- Looks like JJ's shooting is starting to come around. If he shoots it well, we'll be in every game.
- I'm not getting into the fire Fox argument (frankly, I can see it from both sides), especially with so much schedule left this year, but 2018 will be the first year in his administration that every player on the team looks like a major conference player. We should be able to roll 10 deep next year with high major players if Yante comes back.
- Another thread got me reminiscing a little. I'm 40 years old and my favorite era's in dawg basketball were:
3- The Tubby years
2- The Harrick years (pre nukage or course)
1- Late 80's/1990 Durham years. I'm especially fond of those years b/c my dad was a GA on those
last two Willie Anderson teams, so I knew a lot of those cats on the SEC championship team as a
kid. I think my three favorite memories of dawg basketball may be watching Willie take over the
game against UF in the Steg his senior year, followed by listening to the radio broadcast of the
game at LSU where Rod Cole turned the knife in their backs from the free throw line, and then we
came back on them and buried them in Athens in front of a crazy crowd on a nationally telecasted
game. Still have a hard time believing Alec Kessler put it on Shaq and Stanley Roberts like that.
Good times!
