Any idea the real back story with this kid from Alpharetta??
This kid's has very good video, very flattering coach endorsement (see link below) and a pretty solid trio of teams who were hard after in final pursuit (Vols, Spartans and Mizzou).
It appears we never seemed to even stay in contact with in spite of fact:
-- his body appears bigger than J Taylor and more able to add weight and play inside than Taylor
-- his athleticism FAR superior to Chuks
-- in state kid
-- huge position of need
My perception was the early word was he was highly unlikely to make the grades but Vols are SUPER tight in this class and they are willing to take him. And they may have ousted another verbal to make room for him
Anyone have any real inside info re why we weren't more involved in hopes his grades worked out or we had room for a sign and place with him??
Losing a 4 * that looks like a future good ILB from within our on state seems --on its face-- to be perplexing especially when we are going after Plan C & D DBs and WRs
