as watching us play this season so I’ll make my post here.
I used to believe that the reason why we struggled to score 60 is bc we had the likes of Kessler and Paul Geno and Charles Mann. Now that we have guys that are capable of scoring with significant roster upgrades and we still struggle to score 60 and STILL go long stretches where we just can’t score to close games out it’s all too obvious that this staff just doesn’t know how to coach up a squad with pretty decent ball players on its roster.
This clearly is as good as it gets with this staff. They’ll never have better players than they have now. They’ve actually recruited well above our level of play, but our level of play on the court hasn’t changed one iota.
It’s extremely disappointing as I really felt that this season we’d see a breakthrough with the team we have. I’ve given up watching the games and following the team as it isn’t worth the time investment to see us struggle to inbounds the ball, run the shot clock down to 8 seconds before trying to score, run that stupid high pick and roll offense that absolutely is our only play, and watch teams go on 20-4 scoring runs and surrender 16 pt leads while our coach never bothers to call a TO to stop the run.
