Why is human trafficking not a topic mentioned, much less discussed by any candidate in any party? Why is real freaking slavery going on every minute of every day right freaking now NOT being addressed?

We are addicted to fighting over symptoms of our real problems around the world. The U.S. is reportedly the biggest customer for the sex slave trade, a multi-billion dollar business. Yet, not one party or candidate dares take a stand on it.

We the people are beyond pitiful. Shame on all of us.

Because the discussion of current slavery and the enormity of it takes away from the slave reparation agenda within our country.

More women and men have been placed in sex slave trafficking, than was ever enslaved in the U.S. prior to abolishion. Not to diminish that at all. Our country has moved on from that.

Much of the sex slave traffic starts in African and Middle Eastern countries, along with soviet block countries. It flows where the money is. And with free immigration, it has upped the trafficking.

And it makes a lot of people a lot of money. Atlanta is the #1 hub for sex trafficking. It comes with being the busiest airport and high number of sex clubs in the metro area. If you want to see it become an even greater problem, approve casinos.

Otherwise, we would be all over it.

And that's just another dirty side of the immigration issue that is never talked about. We all know about the financial strain it puts on medical and education, but most don't understand this part of it. A lot of these people that are snuck in here illegally are forced into the sex trade to pay back their smuggling fees. They know better than to cross the smugglers.

Because organized crime owns the vast majority of Asian massage parlors in the US. When organized crime is involved in an enterprise, you can be certain police and politicians have been paid off in advance.

It is truly sad that we would shrug it off and accept that "it is what it is." I'm sure more than a few politicians get rewarded for looking the other way regardless of which "special interest" comes calling. After pedophilia, human trafficking (which counts pedophiles as elite customers) has to rank as man's most despicable pastime.

I agree with you. Why do you think Congress and/or the FBI has failed to deal with the issue of human trafficking?
