The team came out playing hard and looked like they enjoyed playing together. Kenny Gaines played terrific defense on Moody (with good team D help). Really played well the last 12 minutes or so. The big 4 combined for 76 of our 80 points which is scary, really need to get more from guys 5+. Although I will say Edwards showed some things, think he has huge upside.
Have to give Fox and the players credit, some frustrating losses that have really hurt our resume chances and it would be easy to dwell on that and play poorly today in an early tip off.
Not sure if anyone noticed it but with about 1:30 left Ole Miss shooting FTs and Fox called Edwards over after he fouled to show him something. JJ took the bottom block on the first FT and Kenny was on the 3 point line making fun of him being down there. After the first shot Charles came to move him off the spot and JJ stayed for a second joking that he had it. Was pretty dang funny. That kid loves playing basketball, fun to watch his passion.
