It would be interesting to know how many and what percentage of law enforcement agencies around the world (by country as well) are comprised of Muslims fighting to eliminate terrorist threats.
As much as we try to believe that X percent of the Muslim, global population are moderates and Y percent are extremists on any given day, we are infrequently treated to a news clip of a Muslim spokesman in a neighborhood somewhere away from "the action" who claims to represent a number (never says how many or how often) of Muslims, who are supposedly outraged by terrorists' acts perpetrated in the name of Islam.
What we don't know is how many Muslims are actively, openly and regularly involved in reducing/eliminating terrorism in all countries.
What we are fed more often is how the terrorist feels justified for his actions.
There has to be more than the occasional, choreographed public statement by a couple spokesmen, voicing "outrage." I want to see them demonstrate their outrage in much larger groups for as long as it takes to defeat, demoralize and eliminate their "shameful" brothers and sisters.
And here's to encouraging them to do it their way with dismemberment, stonings, burnings and beheadings. Until there is undeniable proof of an effective movement (in addition to the Kurds, and bless their unyielding hearts) to stop extremists and terrorists killing innocents. I'm going to be waiting a very long time, it surely seems.
