Further, take a look at the current rankings for TCU, Michigan St., Baylor, GT, etc. Small sample of teams which typically have lower classes, yet had outstanding seasons. Sure, would I prefer the top recruiting trophy,? Absolutely, yet some other parts of a championship equation are coaching, scheme, school climate, admin support, facilities, and recruiting players that fit your system and play with passion. Imo, we aren't way off our competition with recruiting, but needed to close the gap in the other areas mentioned. I think we are starting to see that.
