And yet we almost overcame that, despite the fact that we:
-Also we left a lot of offensive plays on the field that were dialed up for the taking due to not snatching balls in the hands, or slightly missed throws, etc.
- D getting gashed in 1st qtr with runs on the edge
- lots of injuries.
- being on the road at one of the toughest road environments we will encounter
We did everything wrong & still almost won.
Obviously a lot to clean up, a lot of questions to be asked, including where certain players heads really are (off field distractions?).
Bottom line is that as up & down as we played under all of the above circumstances, if we turn the ball over only 1 time instead of 4, to say nothing of having zero turnovers, we win.
This sucks tonight. But the bigger picture is—if we see these guys again later, and we will, and simply execute better, we win. And if we are healthier then…even better.
