Trump can’t win either without a well funded 3rd Party candidate who takes legitimate shots at Biden and pulls 2% or more of the vote which he will. (Note - assuming neither Trump or Biden makes a catastrophic error over next few months which could certainly occur.)

Trump does need a legit 3rd party candidate. I think the disgruntled Bernie bros made a real difference in 2016 - didn’t think their vote mattered so quite a few didn’t vote.
