According to an Athens-Clarke County Police report, UGA freshman Wide Receiver Sacovie White was arrested last Saturday. He was charged with reckless driving and one-way roadway. Jail records show that he was released on a $26 bail.
The incident happened in Athens on May 18, shortly before 2 a.m. The police report states that White allegedly drove down the wrong way on E. Clayton Street in front of several bars, where there were many pedestrians.
The police report also alleges White was driving at a "high speed," and one of his passengers was partially outside the vehicle.
According to the police report, an officer caught up with White, taking him into custody and to the county jail.
