I guess the player was a JV player and was hit in the head by a wild

throw in between innings . That what it sounds to me like : maybe someone will come here with better info .

I got hit in the throat by a line drive from someone 6 years older

than I was. Couldn't talk for two weeks,

Burt Jacobs hit me in the back of my hade with a bat. I was on deck and

he for some reason decided he wanted to take some practice swings behind me.
I went down, on my face. I remember wincing and then woke up with everyone standing over me. I was spitting dirt all the way to the nurses station.
I went home, but Mom wouldn't let me go to sleep.
Never went to the hospital

is....why wasn't he wearing a helmet?? Not a lot of information here, I guess he may have not even up in the batters box, just kind of assuming. I hope the kid will be okay. I can't imagine how the parents feel right now.

They wouldn't take you to the hospital back then unless you were

dying. Got my two front teeth knocked out by an idiot practicing swinging just outside an exit with no window in the door. Same asshat kid hit me in the back of the head as I rode by his house on a bicycle. Climbed a tree and I went up behind him and threw his ass out of it after the cobwebs disappeared. He knew I hated him.

A friend who was there said he was hit by a wild throw to first from shortstop between innings. He said it was a very bad scene and multiple ambulances responded.

Dam, we had a kid get hit last night in the same situation. Not hurt

but this is scary. I'll be more careful from now on.
