Sparky Anderson was named "George" after George Washington, because he was born on his birthday. Ted Kennedy's older brother John (JFK) asked their parents to name his new baby brother "George", since he was born on Washington's birthday.

They refused. Instead they named the newborn babe "Ted" after his father's assistant. Bundy? Ted Kennedy went on to murder Mary Jo Kopechne just 37 years later.
