Last Saturday, SC scored only 41 in a loss to UF. Then lost to UT, but scored 67. Then yesterday, they go bezerk and score 85 vs AU... Talk about schizo!!
Let's go back to the first game with them... We lost at home thanks to horrific shooting by anyone not named Yante or Juwan. Yante had 25points, SC scored only 6 baskets in the second half, yet won fairly easily down the stretch.
As you can imagine, the two very best teams in terms of making a beautiful sport ugly had a ton of fouls. SC shot 35 fts and UGA shot 28. Even though it seems refs have swallowed their whistles a bit lately, I expect another slugfest with a lot of fouls.
I do expect we can't be as bad at shooting as we have more players making shots right now, but a Frank Martin team, regardless of talent, will be physical and relentless. UF was neither. UT was very good with their guards on D... Really got in our grill all game. Hopefully that was a good lesson for us before heading over to the Ugliest Little Village in the South.
