I'm hearing Georgia is turning up the heat a bit on 2017 4-star PG Lavar Batts out of NC. He had a really good weekend at the Peach Jam in front of Coach Fox and the staff. Spoke with Batts briefly tonight and he mentioned that Georgia has been recruiting him for a while, but Coach Fox has been more involved with him lately. Georgia Tech, Nebraska and Virginia Tech all offered him this weekend. Butler, Clemson, Florida State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and VCU are also on him hard.
Georgia is still all in on Darius Perry, and they are still recruiting Jamal Johnson too. Perry told me over the weekend that it's still the same school on him hardest (Georgia, Iowa State, Louisville, Texas A&M with GT and G'Town joining the mix). Still like Georgia's chances in this one, unless one of the other targets takes the spot first. My guess would be UGA would take the first of the three to commit, but could potentially take if it includes Johnson as he can play the wing too.
