The good news/bad news continues. While we have "climbed" up to a 60-61 RPI and passed Vandy, USC has fallen to 58 - so we now have no top 50 wins. Florida is at 52 and is the third highest SEC team, and I don't see them getting in. It goes without saying that today is a must win for us (and probably the SEC's hopes of more than two teams in the field). Win today and I think there is at least a 50-50 chance we get an invite. Lose today and we are left with three things: Waiting on an NIT invite, taking solace in the fact we probably knocked USC out of the tournament, knowing we floundered away a NCAA tournament bid at Auburn and at home against UTC and KSU.
Pulling hard for a W, but expecting to be on the outside looking in tomorrow night. Frustrating that with just a little more foresight and coaching acumen, we would be concerned about seeding instead of if we will get a NIT home game. Hoping for the best, but with low expectations.
