... but he actually had when he was in the SEC's first ever OT game in 1996.... very similar games... Dawgs were down 3 TDs in that one including a 2 TD deficit in the 4rth quarter and needed the 30 yard TD pass as time expired in regulation to tie it up.
That game was 4 overtimes as opposed to tonight's 8 OT.... but back then teams started from the 25 in every overtime turn... unlike today where they just go for 2 starting with the third OT. So the overtime session then was just as tense.
I don't know if that game even crossed Kirby's mind tonight... just thought it was funny that he said he'd never been a part of something like this.
