a game like Florida State did last night...

The Noles had to settle for 3 FGs last night, two of which we were shorter than 30 yards. The Noles had a lot of success throwing in between the hashes last night, but never seemed to do it consistently. Brad Stewart made a 4th down catch for tech that set up tech's last FG. Florida State ran the ball on the first play of their final drive and looked to be content playing for OT until they got a big gainer on 2nd down. Florida State had a penalty on their third to last play, moving the FG from a then 59 yarder to a 64 yarder. The Noles then only picked up 9 yards on their second to last play, making it a 55 yard try.... Which of course was blocked.... Florida State looked confused and disorganized, especially when tech initially made no effort to get near the blocked the football.

Man, I can only imagine if we played a game exactly like that. It'd be:

NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL
NO KILLER INSTINCT
FIELD GOAL U
PISS POOR CLOCK MANAGEMENT
PLAYING NOT TO LOSE
SPECIAL TEAMS BREAKDOWN
NO FOCUS
NO INTENSITY
ANNUAL CRAP THE BED GAME

and.... THIS IS WHY WE'LL NEVER WIN A NATIONAL TITLE.

This is a Florida State program who won a national title two years ago, made the playoff last year, and was ranked (albeit unjustifiably so) in the top ten last night. They'd won 28 straight acc games.... I saw so many of the criticisms lobbed by our (alleged) fans toward us being played out by Florida State last night. I'm starting to think that a lot of those things are a reality of college football in general, not just a reality of Mark Richt specifically. That's not to say there aren't a lot of things we need to do better, especially when it comes to special teams.... but one would think that ONLY UGA is capable of losing a game in the exact manner than Florida State did last night.
