I don't get it. It seems some people think change is better, but I've found that to not always be the case. I think the Chat going to topic view will prove disastrous.

Besides, it's difficult for ole dawgs to learn new tricks.

CEO of Yahoo! is an ex-Gaggme (very liberal)......I personally think......

they're trying to stifle community and unity amongst all posters on all the sports boards because we all know what this treasonist president and administration is up to. Should one sound the warning to everybody else, the topic view helps to stifle that somewhat. Just my thinking, fwiw......:)
 
This change will be about as popular as Windows 8*

Somebody needs to get a clue.
 
It's because on mobile, ie iPhone, iPad, Android, etc, thread view is not compatible as it slows the board down - literally - not to mention other technical issues. Nothing to do with money or anyone's political persuasion.

That's a part, but not all. If they didnt get new servers the boards as we know them this second would have burned and then we would have had trouble. Remember the Signing Day fiasco? Even now on mobile, you can't do squat, tag who you are responding to or see who others are talking to. In the new topic view you will be able to see that, including mobile. And I swear it won't be hard.

Do you like it better now that you can't put up the schedules? Technology is great until it loses any human connection. I'll probably stay around to read team content etc...but my time will be spent elsewhere. It's cool, you guys will still make money from the youngsters. GATA

I understand everyone will miss thread view but in the grand scheme of things the Chat is the only forum in the entire Rivals network where thread is the default.
That's why folks here and some on the Vent who uses it are upset.
Every other place folks - even older ones - are excited about the changes, again, from what I can tell in talking to other publishers

Including this one. I don't try to do any photo posting etc but no issues just to CHAT. Guess that's the issue. Don't do Twitter or facebooks etc... So no issues. Cept I can't type worth a shit on my phone lol

Hell, I'll be 50 in four days so you not much ahead of me. Lol. I got ARP trying to give me all kinds of sheet now....I was a threader too until i went to the darkside. There's going to be some things with the new features to get used to, no questions.
But I'm about as far from a puter literate person that there is. I can barely type in the little window I'm looking at (on my phone), but the new system taint hard. I was just on it for five minutes and figured out most of the gory details. It was easy. If I can do it I know you codgers can

They pull this s#!t just as I was about to go premium again ...

because they had finally brought back the sig pics. I agree that topic view is a huge mistake, and I won't pay for that crap. If they want to destroy the Chat, topic view is a good way to do it. Oh well, there are other things I can spend the hundred bucks on, especially when i have so little time lately to get on my computer.

LMBO at the memory. They had to order me a 7 7/8" helmet cause apparently nobody else's haid had ever been bigger than 7 3/4". And frosh teammate Lurch Hertwig had a 17+" shoe, IIRC. I will be 63 in July.
 
I get by fine with Thread View on my iPhone. If it's a server issue ...

and a matter of cost, I can understand and accept, but you have to admit that topic view totally sucks as a way of seeing what's going on.

I want to find a 100 dollar bill laying in driveway too, but it's not going to happen. Lol. I hear ya on the thread view but I'm afraid it's not going to be available unfortunately
