Sankey had slurred speech in what little he did say so I wonder if he knew better than to get in front of a national TV audience and blow it.
At the very least the SEC office should put out a statement of apology to the team and UGA fans.

Ask Sark what drinking on the job will get you. And make no mistake, Sankey was on the job as much as anyone else in the building.

Sankey was pissed at Kirby, no doubt, but there's a right way and a wrong way to handle that on the public stage at the marquee event of the SEC. Sankey chose the wrong way on one or more levels.
