IRS got a last minute audit of Pete Hegseth on Bidens way out.
Adam Shit is one of the lowest dirtiest SOB’s in Congress..he should be under a jail for his Russia Gate lies (any normal American would be) and wasting millions of the U.S. taxpayers money …the poster boy for a POS! And weird as hell at that..representing Cali the way it should be
@LrgK9 - Find one person who was audited over $600. If you fail to report income, the IRS will send you a notice with any additional tax you may owe. That is not a real audit where they go over your return.
In the past, I twice received a letter from the IRS saying I owed money. There were reasons that were not obvious that I was correct. In both cases I sent a letter explaining the situation and that resolved the situation- I didn't have to pay anything.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Hegseth. The audit might have been politically motivated, but if he owes taxes he should pay - right?
It will be interesting to see what Musk uncovers with the SSA. I want any fraud to be ended. But he hasn't shown any proof of it yet. I'm sure he can improve their processes. But do it and then tell us instead of just trying to grab headlines. Too many people making statements that have yet to be proved.

We have a disconnect. The Biden Admin was “proposing/planning” on tightening audits of U.S. taxpayers down to the $600.00 level.
Proposing/planning doesn't mean much in politics. The percentage of audits in total has been decreasing and we're losing a lot of tax money.
Yeah, let’s check the net worth of say Elizabeth Warren. Let’s trace that back to 1) see where it came from and 2) see if appropriate taxes were paid on it.
That's your non response. I don't care if you want to pick on Warren, but the IRS' main job is not seeing where a person's money came from. Yes, all income should be reported but that's not the same thing. It sounds like you want to make it a witch hunt. Someone with her income should probably be reviewed for possibility of audit. But a lot of people are in that position.
“Sources and Uses” of funds are both examined on any audited returns or examinations I have been involved with as a corporate attorney.

That’s a great idea. All members of the government (congress, sc judges, heads of agencies, cabinet, presidents, etc) should be subject to an audit. Something random, 50 per year would be enough.
We used to “randomly”:drug test at an old employer, my friend got picked 7 times out of 10 times because he had long hair. The audit should not single out anyone like that. Results would be kept confidential, on a pass/fail basis.
It is not accurate. You would also be correct to call it a blatant lie. The lie may stem from stupidity and ignorance or it may stem from intentional malice, but it’s either one or the other.
Given all of the other lies we have been getting from Musk and DOGE, I tend to think it’s intentional malice.
But it’s obviously working as people like the OP take it as truth and retweet it to the world.
So far, Elon and DOGE have been exactly as successful in finding meaningful budget fraud as Trump and team were in finding meaningful election fraud in the 2020 election, which would be not at all.
They will probably find some fraud because we strongly suspect it exists, but everything so far as been for show. They are cancelling so many contracts, not because they have proved fraud, but because they don't like what the money is being used for. Of course, the worst is all the chaos they are creating.
DEI and trans issues should be considered fraud because they’re not issues that advance the US agenda. What do you consider fraud? Sending money to Afghanistan for women? That money never touches a woman, it’s used to prop up taliban interests. Sending money to the EPA so you can fund your golden parachute is not fraud? There’s a ton of that sht going on.
I suspect Musk’s point was the number of people over age 150 still going strong. Click on it. I wonder if that chick that’s 300+ used to date George Washington?
Tell us you are prejudiced without saying you are prejudiced. There is no magic US agenda - you just seem to have fallen for Trump. Fraud would include money not used for the reason that it was paid. So if money goes to prop up Taliban when it's supposed to go to women, then we have fraud. I don't know where sending money to the EPA to fund your golden parachute even comes into the discussion.
This is one example I'd say is worthy of investigation.

Having worked with a guy that used to work for the FAA, I heard it was run like a family business. I think in Atlanta the equipment they use is new, the tower is relatively new at about 15 years old. For every guy in the tower, they have many employees. The employees are not in the tower, but in an office on the other side of I85, I think. It’s been about 18 years since I was in that building. That was many large projects ago. I think it’s a regional office.
