This is going to sound like I'm selecting my stats to fit my (our) narrative, which I am to an extent, but it'll make sense. If you didn't count the first two years at Marquette or the first three years at IU which were clearly rebuilding years for both programs, Crean makes the NCAA tournament 9 out of 13 times and advances in five of those nine appearances accumulating an 11-9 tournament record. During those thirteen years which were no longer rebuilding years, Crean is 298-137 (69% winning percentage) and could have been > 70% had his last year at IU gone as many thought it would pre-injury to a couple of key players. CTC has also won more than 26 games five separate times and has three conference championships under his belt. Just more reason for us to be excited about our new coach.
