If I asked you which two players have the highest batting averages in league play, who would you say, without looking it up?
Without looking it up, who would you say has the top two OBP in league play? And which two players have the highest OPS?
From Georgiadogs’ (and this appears to be going into last night as it reflects 16 SEC games played - I doubt last night changes any of this)
Top two averages:
Christian Adams (.326)
Ryland Zaborowski (.322)
OBP:
Ryland Zaborowski (.452)
Kolby Branch (.448)
OPS
Ryland Zaborowski (1.096)
Christian Adams (1.078)
I figured that Slate Alford or Robbie Burnett would be in in at least one of those and that Zaborowski would not be. And while both Alford and Burnett are having great years, they’re not. In fact, Robbie is hitting .288 against the SEC while Slate is .319.
It seems like neither Zabo nor Adams have done a whole lot since Florida. For Adams, compared to his weekend against Florida, he probably hadn’t. But, that was awhile back and their numbers now, beyond the halfway point in league play, are what they are. I did not expect that to be the case.
