  • Watched Tyree Crump play this afternoon. Really impressive outing for him. Showed off his deep range. Looks like he's really trying to transition to PG. He's definitely still learning as you can tell he's not always sure when to look for his own offense and when to dish it off. Today, I thought that led to a few turnovers that could have been avoided. But as far as ability to play the position, he's got it. Tight handle, good vision, and really good quickness to get by guys. He has a really quick first step and can change his pace.
  • Crump's team played against Sandy Creek, who has Rivals150 wing Elias Harden. UGA asst Jonas Hayes watched him on Wednesday night. Thought he played well, still not sure he's what UGA needs. Good shooter, but not the purest looking shot, which I think makes him inconsistent. 6'6, but only an average athlete. Doesn't like to attack the rim, prefers shooting jumpers. That's just my take though. From talking to different coaches about him opinions are across the board.
  • The Westlake/Norcross game was a monster matchup. UGA asst Yasir Rosemond was there. Thought 2017 PF Lance Thomas played very well. 6'9, athletic and can shoot the ball. Good rim protector, but needs to get stronger on the boards. 2017 PF Rayshaun Hammonds also played well for Norcross, but fouled out early. For Westlake, I thought 2018 PG Jamie Lewis and 2017 PF Chuma Okeke were great. Lewis controlled the game at PG and made a lot of plays in the 2nd half. Okeke must have close to 20 points and rebounds. He's gotten a lot tougher.
