I wanted to make this post because I feel like a chunk of our fanbase hasn't had the genuine displeasure of interacting with the Texas fanbase.
I have, unfortunately. I'm a corporate lawyer. My job requires me to periodically travel to Texas and work with a ton of Texas alums, both lawyers and non-lawyers.
Their arrogance is insufferable. Combine the academic superiority complex of Georgia Tech, the athletic superiority complex of Bama, and the entitlement of an 17 year old with a trust fund, and you have your average Texas fans. Plus that whole weird "Republic of Texas" thing that most Texans can't shut up about. I live and work in DC, so believe me when I say that I know a thing or two about arrogance. Texas fans stand alone.
I have had to grin and bear it while Texas fans talk at me about how the rest of the SEC "must improve their academics to match the Texas standard," how Texas has more money than the rest of us combined, and how the rest of us will "are going to learn how Texas handles its business."
The win in October was a lot of fun. But it's not enough. We can't let Texas come in and win the SEC in their inaugural season; I'd never hear the end of it.
**** those mother****ers and their ****ing cow. Dawgs by 60.
