We are hitting the ball very well right now and I sure hope it continues into the post-season.
I haven’t been very high on Rogers but, holy crap, did he storm out of his batting slump or what? It seems every time he bats there’s a good chance he gets a double or better.
The Tate brothers are also killing it with xtra base hits.
I hope McAllister gets healthy because Anderson needs to move back to the 9 hole, where he just seemed more comfortable. I don’t know why that is, but for some reason he hits better when he isn’t the lead off. Admittedly I haven’t looked at the stats to see if that is true.
The ESPN graphic said we have 22 freshmen on roster. Is that right? If so, we really do have a young team and that is pretty awesome for the future.
Initially I questioned Blaylock playing 2B behind McAllister. He’s really filled in quite well there, having made some nice plays.
I was hoping we could better solidify a Sunday starter but so far Wagner, Woods, Pasqua, Harris has proved to be a pretty solid foursome. Pasqua, however, seems to be in a little slump that I hope resolves before the post-season. He’s hung some bad pitches that have hurt us.
I’d love to hear some thoughts/comments from others here.
