Anyone putting the O struggles on Schotty doesn't realize what Georgia has, or doesn't have on offense. Our OL needs to be way, way, way more physical at the point of attack. I understand Mizzou's D is stout. They deserve credit. But we did not play all that well up front tonight in my opinion.
QB play was very inconsistent. It seemed like multiple times tonight we ran right into run blitzes.
The D played well but their offense is not good. Part of the problem is L. Carter is not having a very productive year for whatever reason.
People criticizing Kimbrough are misguided IMO. The throw over his head was a laser.
R. Davis is not good on PR. Yes I get it that he ran one back last week, but glad we made the change to Godwin.
Speaking of, why is Godwin blocking for Mitchell on screens and not the other way around? Guy is a catcher and accelerator. Not a blocker.
Morgan struggled again. The onside was a poor effort. I thought Barber punted a little better tonight.
Losing Dom for a half hurts. Interested to see what we do back there for UF. Mauger/Abram?
All in all, don't think you can be terribly confident going into Jax. Here's hoping to a physical but reasonably safe week of practices this bye week. We need to start imposing our will up front. Especially on O.
We did do a nice job of stopping the run tonight.
Sony is better than he looked tonight. Their DL is pretty good.
Think we'll be okay long term. Just need better OL play and more consistent QB play. That includes throws and run checks.
