Something is definitely happening. And only one thing makes sense.

* Replacing O/C just means starting all over again on offense next year.

* Going another year status quo means maybe a marginally better team next year or maybe even a slight backslide. And then an almost sure backslide or continuation of the same path the year after.

Kirby (if he is even under consideration and if a change is in the works) is more qualified than was CMR when he took the program and has more energy. Here is a guy the boosters, the fans and players and the admin will get behind. And he would rally the program.

One caveat. I know zero except SOME THING IS afoot. SOME THING. And, IMO, a change of O/C is treating a symptom.

There are many cases of new OCs stepping right in and being successful.
I think Schotty is too slow in diagnosing/reacting and too unimaginative to run a prolific offense.

Also, of course there are rumors, they mean nothing in and of themselves.

Who is responsible for picking Shotty? You want him making the next pick?

I've answered Your first question several times already.
As for who makes the call on Schotty's replacement, I've made My feelings known to The AD, I think it's in everybody's interest if the final say is taken off Richt's shoulders.

Aside from that how many OC/DC changes have been made in the last 10 years? And the results were? Lookit, Something is up. And no, I haven't a clue what. But I do recognize some of the overt signs of change when I see them.

If he can't pick his assistants then you have already fired him. Can't hire him, can't work him. And that is a sure fire prescription for disaster. CMR nor anyone worth a damn is going to put up with that and the UGA AD is not going to ask him too.

Exactly, I really think he's done and they are silently looking for a new coach.

The sign is, We lost every important game this season in embarrassing fashion.
Also Schotty clearly seems unsuited to coach at the pace We need and He's unimaginative.

I'll be very disappointed if Schotty returns I'd like to give Richt and the defensive staff more time if CMR will agree to a new OC though.

I disagree, He was nudged to fire Willy.
Of course I want Richt on board, but want others to make sure he doesn't pick somebody with bad results like Schotty had in The NFL.

Bobo did more with less many times over...M lost all his receivers and still was productive...The receivers had HM throwing to them last year and NC bailed us out mostly..

MB would have continued to be productive with this group...hell I'll go so far as to say NC probably wouldn't have gotten hurt had MB been calling the plays...

So the entire offensive sluggishness boils down to poor QB play, and NC being out...MB would have been able to adjust for the poor QB play as long as NC was on the field..hence last yr...but this yr...NC would have possible been the equalizer to the QB...which should have been BR ..if FB got a shot in the biggest game of the year, then BR should get a shot against someone..

I doubt We'd have this low level of QB play with Bobo. Schotty has a long history of poor results in the passing game. He also has a long history of being maybe the least imaginative OC in The NFL.
Unfortunately We got EXACTLY what Richt should have seen just by reviewing Schotty's body of work. Nothing about these results deviates from his 14 year NFL career. I think he's here because he realized he'd gotten his last break at that level.

What championship driven OC would want to work for Richt? It would be for job security, definitely not for a championship.

So what's your conclusion richt go's USCjr mad like Mizzoy we steal one of their candidates. Starts a chain reaction of big programs want new coaches.

Pruitt is here, there are good men who are also good coaches who would take the job. Of course the pay wouldn't hurt either.

If we make a move I hope we have our guy without a bidding war. Sitting January 10 with no head coach would be a disaster. I still think the only change we make is oc. Many on here forget we have a self imposed handicap with our drug and other discipline policies that prospective candidates would weigh. The Georgia way may be our biggest handicap. Much if dream team is not here due in part to the Georgia way.

Maybe Bobo will come back as HC & retain all but the 2 coordinators & sale.

I still don't think Pruitt will be around. Better prepare yourself for life without Pruitt.
